The 95/5 Rule

A couple years ago my mentor taught me the 95/5% rule of doing business...

The 95/5% rule goes like this.

You, as an owner, executive, or director have a ton of "things" you need to get done each day keep your child care running.

- customer service
- answer emails
- payroll
- cleaning up
- run payments
- enrollment
- market
- staffing

... and the list goes l-o-n-g.

Now, while all those things (and more) need to get done to keep your child care running, most things fall into the trivial 95% zone and not the critical 5%.

In other words, only 5% of what you do DIRECTLY makes an impact on moving the business forward.

Imagine if you could ONLY focus on your 5% all day long and then outsource the trivial 95% to
others.

Just imagine how much more productive and successful you'd be if you could spend 6-8 hours a day on the things that only you can do and help grow your business.
